Many people may have been arrested for a crime they didn’t commit. Or, they have have completed a pre-trial diversion program to avoid a conviction on their record. Until now, Alabama is one of a few states that would not allow record of that arrest to be expunged. Effective July 7, 2014, those meeting the criteria listed in the video can apply to get their arrest record expunged. This is huge news for those unable to get a job because their past is haunting them.
